Like the Beatles put so simply, “...I get by with a little help from my friends…”
The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra and our concerts could not exist without the support from our many friends. If you enjoy the music that you are hearing, show your support by getting involved.
We greatly appreciate any gifts of your time, your business, your financial support and of course your own musical skills!
Do you play a musical instrument?
The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra announces auditions for members of the Community to join its ranks as a volunteer musician.
The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra is a Community Orchestra embarking on its 36th concert season in the City of Greater Sudbury. The orchestra performs a 6-concert season annually. Here is your chance to play your part… as a musician in the SSO!
Our orchestra is made up of both professional musicians and dedicated amateurs. Join our team of music-makers in performing the great works you love. If you play at an RCM grade 8 level, or have equivalent experience, you may be eligible to join the orchestra. We have openings for violin, cello, viola, double bass, trumpet, bassoon and oboe. If you play another instrument you can still audition to be placed on our ‘on call’ list.
